EXCEL News Update

As of March 18th, EXCEL Church will have church services online.  Following the recommendations of our government officials to cancel mass gatherings in efforts to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are canceling classes, meetings, church services, and small groups at the church building.  We will continue to monitor the situation and look forward to resume normal services and small groups at our building as soon as we are able.

With this being said, our mission remains the same, that EXCEL Church, whether in the physical building or online, is the first and foremost place where people can come to learn about God and receive His Wisdom on how to practically move their lives forward.  Watch our online services on Wednesdays and Sundays via our normal platforms which include our website (Excelfl.org/live), AppleTV (EXCEL Church App), and Roku (EXCEL Church).  Replay of services will be available on the platforms just mentioned as well as our EXCEL Church AppYouTube, and our Podcast.

We continue to trust God.  Click the links for confessions and promises to stand on even as we continue to monitor the situation and follow the advisements of our government and leadership.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will we have church services at the building again?

We hope to resume church services at the building soon.  We are prayerfully taking into consideration the recommendations of our government officials and deciding accordingly.

Please be in prayer and believe God with us that our leaders will have Wisdom and Understanding to make decisions in line with the Will of God.

Will the church office be open?

We will have staff and leaders available during office hours via phone (904) 376-7474 and email (dso@excelfl.org).  Concerning medical issues, we certainly can pray with you however, it is best to speak with your doctor and listen to our local government officials’ recommendations on how to proceed.

What can I do to help?

First and foremost we ask you to pray for your family and others.  We believe that God hears and answers our prayers (James 5:16). Then obey what God is directing you to do to be of assistance to others.  It can be as simple as calling and checking on the people God places on your heart.  It could be delivering groceries or supplies to someone.  Don’t try to do anymore or any less, simply obey God.

How can I continue to give financially?

We have several ways that you are able to continue to honor God and support the ministry with your finances during this time.
  • Text to Give – simply text 904-201-2022 with your giving code and the amount you wish to give, ex – Give 100
  • Online Giving – click here to give online via electronic check, debit or credit card
  • Mail – If you prefer to give using a physical check you can mail your check to P.O. Box 57757 Jacksonville, FL 32241

To be honest I am becoming fearful.

It is understandable to have some concern with all of the reports and information you may be hearing.  However, we encourage you to not become overcome with fear.  Continue to receive information from government officials like our mayor, governor, and president.  However, don’t over indulge in listening to everyone’s opinions about what is going on.

You must be mindful that words have power and are seed.  Whatever you think can affect your belief.  Take time to meditate on God’s promises and convenant of protection.  Continue to watch Pastor Derrick’s message titled “No Fear” that was preached on Sunday, March 15th.
