Snack
Snack is offered each service. The Infant class has Cheerios, Gerber Puffs, and water. The 1 Year Old class has Cheerios, Goldfish crackers, and water. The 2 Year Old class has a variety of snack options, including Goldfish crackers, Cheez-Its, graham crackers, Vanilla Wafers, raisins, Animal Crackers, and water. Parent provided snack and drink is a welcome alternative, just let your child’s Teacher know of your preference.
Curriculum
It is our desire to teach the Word of God to all children, even our littlest ones. Though they may not naturally understand or retain all of what’s being said to them, we believe it’s never too early to plant the Word in their hearts.
Offering
Due to the choking hazard of coins, offering isn’t practiced in our Infant, 1 or 2 Year-Old classes.
Saying Goodbye
We ask that once you’ve checked your child into class that you give a quick goodbye and leave for service. It’s normal for little ones to cry when a parent leaves but it usually doesn’t last long. This separation will become easier as the child gets used to being in class. If your child cries for an extended period of time we will contact you.
Curriculum
Each class includes: praise and worship, offering, confessions, Bible stories, memory verses and a craft or other lesson related activity. This affords us the greatest ability to impart age appropriate wisdom and understanding from God’s Word, while building a Biblical foundation that will serve as the basis of a true Christian life.
Snack
Snacks are offered each service. Snack options include: Goldfish crackers, Cheez-Its, graham crackers, Vanilla Wafers, pretzels, Nutra Grain bars, raisins, Animal Crackers, and water. Parents are encouraged to provide snack for their children if they have food allergies or ingredient restricted diets.
Discipline
The goal of Christian discipline is the acquisition of self-discipline. Children are given clear, age-appropriate, rules to follow. Redirection and rule restatement are used first to encourage positive behavior. Supervised time outs of 3-5 minutes may be used if further correction is necessary. Under no circumstances will verbal threats, corporal or physical punishment be used. We believe that with guidance towards right behavior, Biblical principles, and a personal relationship with God that each child can achieve their calling.
